St. Anne Community,
As you all know, there is great concern regarding the COVID-19 virus and how it can spread rapidly if precaution is not taken. For this reason, we will be suspending Adoration in the chapel until further notice effective Tuesday, March 17th. Please understand that this decision is not being made out of fear but out of love for our Adorers and community. We want to ensure the safety and well-being of all to the best of our abilities.
That being said, let us take a moment to reflect on an important lesson hidden in this situation. Praying in the presence of Christ before the Blessed Sacrament is a very special devotion that we as Catholics cling to with great reverence and appreciation. However, our prayers in other places and other forms are important and powerful also. In this specific situation where action is necessary to protect our members, let us continue to pray fervently for God’s will to prevail. It is worth noting that the church will remain open throughout the week for those that wish to sit in the comfort of our Lord’s house and presence as He dwells in the Tabernacle.
Thank you for your dedication and understanding,
Fr. Matt
